I saw this in theaters when there was just nothing else available when I wanted to get in out of the summer heat.
Even at the time, it seemed like a hallucination.

Pretty sure dudes have been fighting over Diane Lane since The Fabulous Stains.
basically spend the whole time fighting over Lane.
Is Mad Max separated from the others by three column inches because you think it’s that much worse? I hope not, because the main difference between it and the others is that it’s like Alien to Aliens - a completely different scope, but absolutely holds up its end of the bargain.
All of the sequels are about Max showing up, getting swept into a story bigger than himself, and then leaving when it’s all over as other characters get actual conclusions. Mad Max hasn’t been about Max since the 70s, he’s just the mythical figure through which these stories about the wasteland are told.
Wasn’t there also a Daywatch movie (which I think was it's sequel).
I thought of the Russian movie as well. Which was more Urban Fantasy then Sci-fi but whatever
IKR. As I was reading the article I kept thinking “I don’t recall seeing Coster-Waldau in that Russian sci-fi film.”
I thought for a second this was a sequel to the Russian films and got excited. Meh.
Cautiously optimistic about this one, as I loved the three previous Apes movies and I’m a bit wary of this new director Wes Ball based on his track record (known for the “meh” Maze Runner series). Matt Reeves had done such a great job with Dawn and War.
I am a huge Ridley Scott fan but this was pretty mediocre. It simultaneously was too long and yet skimmed over huge chunks of Napoleon’s life without giving much historical context for you to hang onto. Of course the big spectacle scenes were phenomenal and a lot of it was entertaining, but....it had issues. Without…
he’ll be the eighth actor to don the suit since the franchise began in 1962
Make it a period piece. Should’ve done that years ago
I don’t think it’s Lorne, I think it’s the writers. The writers are lazy. Very few sketches are interesting. Too many lazy jokes. They’ve overused “and this is real” when incorporating actual quotes in sketches, as well as other recycled jokes. Almost no sketch seems like it come out of the blue to surprise and delight…
Same. The creature makeup effects in the original were outstanding but otherwise it was made-for-TV quality. It’s a GREAT King story that shouldn’t require a heavy lift to adapt into a quality film.
I once asked a flat -earther to explain why she felt this way. Were all planets flat or just the Earth.
It’s a scientific fact that if the earth was flat, cats would have already pushed everything off the edge.
I always have just one question for flat earthers: What’s on the other side? Never have gotten an answer.
We point and laugh at these dumbshits but they are getting elected and will eventually be the end of us all.
It was only a matter of time before an elected Republican stood up and said this. This shouldn’t surprise anyone. If you ever needed a quick barometer of who you can safely talk to or not, flat-earthers are a super low bar that you can eliminate immediately.
