More accurately they are ultra conservative and have lots of conservative lawyers. Tesla pushes the envelope.
While i agree to most of this assessment. The “fastest lap” point “haul” only tells us one thing. The driver (of a moderately competitive car) found themselves with a 25ish sec gap to the car behind and no real chance of overtaking the car in front so they pitted for red tires in the closing laps.
And...you can get the 3 AWD now.
The hamfisted will wad these up by the hundreds on track days.
1. There’s no such thing as 2-phase. 2. That would not hurt the tesla it’s designed for 240v and 120v. It will simply pull more power.
This just in! Full size pickups don’t get good fuel mileage! The Shocking Truth!
“CX-9 (lead pic) is the most cramped of the bunch, the least efficient, likely the least reliable and the one with the poorest resale value.” Wut? After the refresh and dumping that boat anchor blue oval motor it’s an entirely different car. The third row is a bit tight but thats all relative and no self respecting…
Heat is a non-issue in an M3P.
Is nearly 4000 miles over 8 days in 19 time trial, autocross, and drag racing events at 8 different venues enough for you? onelapofamerica.com
You cant overheat this car on a road course. Believe me, we tried. The M3P has massive untapped potential for just about anything other than endurance racing.

Oxygen thieves are everywhere...
This is squarely a product of the advent, and surging popularity of, no-license-requred, wheel-to-wheel racing. It’s of course hugely popular for a reason, easy access, tons of track time, and the very weird new sensibility that having everone race on street tires will make it all somehow safer. Even though what you…
I would also bet that real world the Miata would prove substantially more fuel efficient than a BMW turbo I6.
Quintessential example of Fake News: EPA MPG ratings for turbocharged vehicles.
If by good stuff you mean electrical problems and engine problems respectively, then sure...
Yeah but that stuff smells gross. ;)
The problem with those goggles is in a garage environment their average time to fogged over opacity is about 13 seconds. The respirator is a fine idea but interesting you mention copious amounts of brake cleaner and welding. Be sure to avoid using those on the same piece of work, in that order, or REAL bad things…
