If the movies are good, peiple will watch.

L. Frank Baum churned out Oz books, plays, and silent films for his entire writing career and it never got old. However, that was a case of one creator with a singular vision writing something he enjoyed. What holds the MCU back now is that it’s crafted from many hands, about half of them seemingly indifferent to the…
It’s absolutely a campy fun adventure. It’s objectively not a good movie, but someone sitting next to me said as the movie was ending, “That was actually a pretty good Christmas movie.” I have to agree. See it with your family (or on a plane).
Premieres are for closers.
Honestly I’d be happy if he forgets he invented farting aliens.
dude they didn’t even have a red carpet premiere.
I am really worried about RTD returning and the specials did nothing make me less worried. The clip with the goblin song has not helped. RTD does a lot of good things but the specials have relied too much on his weaknesses. I started watching Who back in the Tom Baker era so there’s a lot I dislike about new Who: …
Agreed. Even in the three specials, I could see Davies’ best and worst tendencies at play.
BEST: He focuses on human stories in the middle of fantastical settings, first and foremost. He introduces a new character, you get them and sympathize with them almost instantly. And when pressed, he can create great tension in…
So, when Moffat created puzzle-box companions, it was bad. But now that Davies is doing, it’s good?
“When you have a show that can go anywhere in time and space...”
Yet chooses to basically spend the vast majority of the time on Earth, in the UK, in the current year.
Told ya not to sign that waiver from the AMPTP.
I’m pretty sure this is what SAG AFTRA was fighting for - you should call them!
Interesting, this is one of the few positive reviews. It’s getting pretty lambasted elsewhere. Hard to tell if the critics smell blood for DC and this will be a campy fun adventure. I’d imagine it’s probably somewhere in between - I didn’t think the first Aquaman was quite as fun as other people, though certainly it…
I’m still upset that they continually CG Jason Momoa’s head onto footage of my body. I mean, I’m flattered but they didn’t ask.
I agree that I think this will happen but I’m surprised as to why. Why is there no point to seeing it if there’s no more DCEU tho? Why are peoples enjoyment of this genre purely the big team ups? What if, this film turns out to be someones favourite film of all time? Nah forget it it’s not ‘building’ to anything. So?…
The Russells are thought to be a thinly veiled representation of the real-life Vanderbilts. They didn’t have far to look for a plot twist. Look up Consuelo Vanderbilt and you’ll see... Gladys may not go quietly but she may indeed have to go! That little smile on Ada at the end was just perfect. It is incredible how…
After 17 episodes, the kiss that i’ve been waiting for has finally happened. Now, i’ll be looking forward to the ridonculously ostentacious wedding between Marion and Larry.
It is super obvious that Bertha promised the Duke a marriage with Gladys to solve his long term money problems. I think Bertha is underestimating her daughter. I don’t think she will go quietly into that marriage to be a dollar princess.
Yup. And if the writers are basing Gladys’ character after Consuelo Vanderbilt, we’re in for a juicy war between Gladys and her mother.
I think she dangled a marriage with her daughter and a fat dowry along with it.
