It’s because it moved to Netflix (lol Peacock) and they put it at the very top of their newly added list vs being hidden in the terrible Amazon Prime app. And it’s a lighthearted, fun show that’s easy to get into whether you’ve seen it before or not.

The thing is, even if these deaths are temporary, they're still showing everybody graphically killed. It might not "matter" in the end but it's still happening and from my perspective isn't something I find particularly enjoyable.

Now I’m not accusing the writers of being pro-genocide. But its getting to a point where ‘its a warning’ is starting to look like ‘the X-Men exist so writers can commit genocide, but its ok cause we’ll bring them back for the next set of writers to do it all over again’.

  • Carrie’s phone dies as she sits down to wait for Aidan in the restaurant, and what kind of monster leaves for an important outing with a phone that’s about to die?

Yeah, to be honest. That.

This is one of those storylines I just look at and go... jeez, that doesn’t seem very enjoyable for anyone.

I think Xavier having his beliefs properly challenged is good, but I think there’s a million more interesting ways to do that than ‘hoho what if he killed everyone’

Marvel’s obsession with committing genocide over and over again is more than a bit unsettling at this point. With how often its come up its seeming like the message that Marvel is trying to send is less ‘genocide bad’ more ‘minorities aren’t allowed nice things and if you start to get happy we’ll kill you all off’.

Am I the only one who really hates how dirty they did Moira’s character throughout this entire run for the past few years? They turned one of the most reliable, helpful, kind human supporting characters, one of the ONLY ones the X-Men had, not only into just another mutant but a straight-up cackling villain. It really

I actually enjoyed those episodes...there wasn't much to enjoy with this - Olivia Colman notwithstanding.

Dr Mumbles Straight up murdered a Diplomat ,lied and got away with it ,this is not Star Trek .

Finding an entry point that doesn’t require knowning tons of lore is inappropriately hard and once you miss a special event, you’re out again.

I watched the first episode and it was like watching an early episode of AoS under the influence of some bad edibles.

Marvel’s.Worst. Writing. Ever.

Didn’t Watch Secret Invasion?

I think it would have been great if every slide ended with the description “and it’s pretty inconsequential.”

When a lot of people have 70" TV’s and Sound systems at home and the knowledge that certain movies will be available to stream in a month or so then they’re going to be far choosier about going to the cinema.”

As much as he’s not wrong about the world being full of partisan hacks whose only identifiable trait is how much they hate “the other side” (my words, not his but that’s the vibe he’s putting out)...

This. It was a far better follow up than a lot of sequels are and entertaining enough in its own right.

I think Covid has accelerated what might have already happened in time though. When a lot of people have 70" TV’s and Sound systems at home and the knowledge that certain movies will be available to stream in a month

I really liked the first film. I liked the second too, but not as much.

Best part of this show was Olivia Coleman. It’s not even a contest

I watched the first 2 episodes, they didn’t grab me and I didn’t bother with the rest. Seems like this show is a big stinker.
