90% of people are completely incapable of planning anything more than a few minutes in advance. Thanksgiving comes around the same time every year, and every year the day before Thanksgiving everyone is in the grocery store frantically grabbing all the butter and sugar they can find.

It’s not my favorite Trek series, mostly because of the inconsistent writing and a lack of focus on the wider cast ensemble. I also thought it leaned too much into Trek’s unfortunate Small Universe Syndrome problem, at least initially.

I love Star Trek. I love it. It’s a big part of who I am. I shit Starfleet field rations. I can turn rocks into replicators. And while I don’t think Neelix was as bad a character as everyone says, Capt. Okona was definitely as outrageous as advertised (if not more so).

On a more serious note ... Personally, I’d prefer DS9 or Voyager over TNG.

I love TNG, but Picard has been so bad. Season 3 was written and filmed back-to-back with Season 2 so it’s likely to be more of the same.  Maybe they’ll set them up and the SNW team can take over the future direction, but I don’t have much hope for what is done with them on Picard.

So if they “retired” and fundraised for themselves or wrote a memoir, everyone would just collectively stop complaining about the life they were born into and there’d be no need for to pay for crazy expensive private security anymore?
