Well, kicker here is we know for a fact he’s a terrible person.

The purpose of child support is to make sure that the parents are legally obligated to cover the child’s expenses. It’s not whether one of them “needs” it.  And the idea that people worth billions of dollars would find it “a headache” to have one of their minions arrange an electronic monthly payment is ridiculous.

they are both rich. neither of them need child support from the other. not a big ask imo. people forget what child support’s purpose is and always just assume someone trying to get out of it is a terrible person. maybe child support is just too big of a headache for two people who frankly don’t need it.

From some simple web searches his wife appears to have a net worth of $54.2 billion. Not sure either of them need child support!

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I just can’t summon nearly as much outrage over rich people screwing over rich as I can over rich people screwing over poor people. This kind of thing always seems shocking to me, then I remember that there is really only one specific kind of person who accumulates this much wealth - and that kind of person tends to have a flagrant lack of empathy for people who aren’t themselves. Ugh.

A few friends had a similar conversation with me not too long ago. I went to rehab and everything, and have been sober since. It really is crazy how much your life improves if you just let it. About to hit my 6 months sobriety date, which I know isn’t that long, but for me it’s a lifetime.

Life expectancy in the US? I wouldn’t base that in anything food related, mass poverty and gun violence play a solid part.

I can forgive some stuff like that if the overall storytelling is good, but it’s just so consistently clumsy. In the last episode I couldn’t go more than 2 minutes without facepalming or going “wait what?”

I mean, they show the same ad like five times in a row and like 20 times in a single episode. I’m pretty sure the person has already seen the ad that’s playing while the TV is off......

Yeah, after you have Anakin building C-3PO (and 3P0 living on the moisture farm before!) and being best friends with R2 continuity stopped mattering a long time ago. 

I wish they’d take screenwriting seriously. The writing in this show is... not quite as bad as the other live-action SW shows, but it’s pretty bad.

Instead of getting my hopes up, can we just skip ahead to the part where they announce that yes, he did break the law and no, there will be no penalties for doing so.

I’d be more shocked if Truth Social were above board with the financial regulators because it would have been a first for a Trump run “business.”

I’d really like some evidence that the justice system can still be effective against a rich buffoon with an entire political party covering for him before nature takes its course, honestly.

Although I like the idea of him being so incapacitated that even the GOP can’t Weekend-at-Bernie’s him through as a figurehead anymore, yet remining lucid enough to know how weak and pathetic he remained.
