Too much since there was really none in the source material. This adaptation is CW level hot garbage. I didn’t like the first series, and I HOPED it would improve and hew closer to the comic... but no.

I miss Mel and Sue too! It’s not even that I don’t like Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas (though Sandi Toksvig was a better fit), I just don’t enjoy them on this show in this capacity. It feels very much like “what random British comedian/presenter is available at the moment”? As a Judge, Prue is fine, but Mary Berry was…
Nope.
Nope.
...oh yeah, and Fisher is a young black man. Possibly part of the reason Whedon was abusive of him, and why WB ignored Fishers’ complaints.
All I can think of is how completely screwed up her kids are going to end up. It will be a miracle if they get through unscathed.
So the tea, allegedly, is that the fire chief, Matthew Petty and Debby Coles-Dobay (who had the cushiest job one could ever have, as public arts manager) are both racist. Clemons retired from her position as deputy fire chief, in part, because she didn’t want have to work under Petty any longer. Petty and Coles-Dobay…
WOW. Ugh. I used to work for that city. They are a mess, I have stories! Yet I am still shocked and disappointed. Hoo boy.
I am not sure what sort of man happens to notice at the 1:31 minute mark that Yorick has a very long tongue. Trick of the camera / angle of the shot?
Yes, it is selfish. How it ends up effecting her is beside the point, if she ends up spreading virus to others.
“You’re fucking dreamy.” Well, that is the truth, Sam is fucking dreamy. Even though Hero is just saying that to be manipulative... I have been crushing on Elliot Fletcher since The Fosters, always glad to see him, whereever he pop’s up. He is simply gorgeous! Sam is really the ONLY character I am concerned for at any…
But the Empire did execute loads of people, the entourages from both Anacreon and Thespis, and bombing both planets.
Agreed! Drugs abuse is always a result of a broken coping mechanism to trauma, the trauma was being gay in society at that time.
I was immediately saddened upon seeing this news. I think Tommy Kirk was genuinely my first gay boy crush (Ricky Nelson was up there too). Although he constantly claimed he had no blame for anyone but himself for all the drama that derailed his life and career, it always sounded disingenuous to me. That saying about…
I really enjoyed the first season of Stargirl, but this season really feels as if the show is taking 15 minutes of story and stretching it out to 45... There are more “thoughtful” moments, quiet establishing shots, long moments focused on empty spaces, long takes of silent angsty faces, and basically more “dead air”…
I have direct knowledge of this as well. I have seriously lost respect I had for some people I know who are nurses that don’t want to get vaccinated. I know of one who told me that she is getting the vaccine now only because the hospital she works for was going to start requiring the vaccine for her to continue…
I absolutely agree with every point you made. Even though I was not a fan of the inclusion of RBG, I LOVED Elaine May playing her! The season (and last) was a mess. I am still disappointed that last season’s plot saw little of what I would consider resolution (at least in my eyes).
The series has really faltered since…
-How Mike told Thunderbolt to stop dropping stop signs, his reply was, “not until they stop.” And the bullies NEVER stopped (were they supposed to stand still?), the bullies ran off in different directions and a few more signs fell in the same general area and STOPPED.
I wish my brain would turn off sometimes, and…
Since costumes are being discussed.... I am frequently at odds with production’s costume choices. I love Stargirl’s costume, not so much the others... They need updating. I am also not usually a fan when they do a poor interpretation of any super’s costume. This time I am on the other side of the issue. With …
Home made vinaigrette has been part of my diet since living in France as an exchange student in the 80s... I was informed five years ago (after allergen testing) that I am allergic to mustard. Since then have been searching to find a alternative to using mustard as an emulsifier... Any ideas or suggestions?
