There’s a market for everything, but if you’re just out there to be a shock comic, you’re not allowed to be offended when people don’t like your stuff. There’s something to be said for nuance, thoughtfulness, awareness and uniqueness in comedy.

Thanks for sharing that, his makes a lot of great points. The one that he brought up that I’ve been saying forever is simply, don’t mock the victim. If you want to make a rape joke, it’s not funny to mock the person who was raped. You can attack the rapist all you want. If you want to make a holocaust joke, dear god,…
Ok, I guess now we know where the line is.
I’m watching the original Planet Earth series right now and it’s absolutely stunning and riveting. Every episode I comments on the cinematography and how incredibly talented the videographers are. Such a brilliant, epic series that really makes you respect the world around you.
You leave the door unlocked and someone enters your home. It’s your fault the person was able to get in. But now that this person is in, you MUST play host until they decide to leave. You do not get to ask them to leave or take the steps to make them leave.
I think this is how a lot of us feel. He ain’t perfect - not by a long shot. But he’s better than maaaaaaany of the alternatives (including, especially, another Harper term). And I don’t think he’s going to let Trump overpower him, which I greatly appreciate right now.
Depends on how you define “awesome”. He’s a politician, and that’s a big part of his persona. He’s made promises he never intended to keep. BUT, he’s improved Canada’s image around the world, he’s been open and welcoming to refugees, he believes in, supports and advocates for science, he’s put together the first 50/50…
Well, that’s really disappointing. My husband and I have always found Cannon to be the best host of any program like AGT - he’s very genuine and seems truly excited for the contestants. It will be a lesser show without him.
I was at a funeral for my uncle this weekend. People told wonderful stories about a wonderful man who touched and inspired us all. I’m so sorry for people who don’t have those stories or memories. We shouldn’t be forced to laud someone in death who didn’t deserve it in life.
White paint suit for me, but I’ll see you there!
Congrats to them, but lol this picture is bizarre.
I have a little bit of hope that they will come back with a show that takes into consideration the world we live in today. I’ve never seen the original so I don’t have a horse in this race, but if they’re able to put something on television that portrays gay men in a positive light, that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
I hope that with the reboot they’ll all be a little older and less fun. It’s a very different day and age than the original. They would be remiss if they acted like caricatures.
I’ve never seen Queer Eye, but I feel like Ted, in particular, has developed his own more natural personality through Chopped. I can’t imagine he will return to a stereotype for a reboot.
I watch it whenever it’s on. My husband thinks I’m very weird for doing so.
I had an ALMOST accident slip once. I moved out of the way veeerrrrry quickly.
Well, I’ll pretty much give anything a try if it has Timothy Olyphant in it, so bring it on.
Honestly, it’s the only cost-effective scrub I’ve found that DOESN’T irritate my super-sensitive skin, so I’ll keep using it.
I feel this way about Pulp Fiction, Michael Jackson and the Beatles. I’m apparently not allowed to dislike these things.
Yup. I feel for her. People make mistakes and sign things they shouldn’t all the time, but if she signed the release those photos are his to use as he pleases.
