Lots of fantasies are skeevy. My cut off is when those fantasies involve a character that is typically a child or childlike. Master/slave fantasies or what have you still involve adults acting like adults.

Yup, you’re right, it’s thin-skinned. Nobody called you a pedophile, but it’s squicky to fantasize about a traditionally childlike character. If you’re that sensitive about it, keep your fantasies to the realm of pornhub like the rest of us do.

A mini skirt and crop top is not inherently a “Schoolgirl” outfit. Lots of grown women wear those things.

Does the fact that it’s a common fantasy negate the fact that it’s fantasizing about someone pretending to be a little girl? I don’t think so.

This person is not a troll. Not everyone with a different opinion than the prevailing one is a damn troll. ffs.

It’s one thing to hand pick a profession where the gap falls into that range, but that doesn’t negate the numerous other professions where the gap is significantly worse, leading to a national average like the one I quoted above (approximately $8,000 per year in Canada for the same work).

I will never understand the sexy schoolgirl thing. It’s like, “Okay guys, feel free to act out your pedophilic fantasies crime-free!”

Forbes has a good article about the pay gap between female and male physicians, if you’re interested. Even accounting for other factors (age, specialization, etc), there’s still a significant pay gap that averages to about two years of pay after a 30 year career.

She’s amazing. She should be on the Voice where she’s competing against equally talented singers.

I’ve seen a lot of documentaries about Orcas. I’ve watched Blackfish several times. But you know what is significantly more meaningful? Watching docs about how these animals exist in the wild. It shows so clearly how their lives are supposed to be, how they have complex and amazing communities, how they learn and pass

OR, OR, OR, her kid could do something valuable with her life, like become a marine biologist, oceanographer or ecologist and work on ways to sustain these incredible creatures for centuries to come.

No. The affair was deeply out of character for both of them and really just ruined them for me, honestly. I didn’t like Dean anymore, and I really felt that they did something with Rory that should never have been done. Rory was always written as an ethical character, until this point. Fail.

This is such a bullshit argument. Studies (in Canada) show that the average pay gap for women working in the same career with the same expertise is $8,000 per year. The most recent StatsCan report has women making 73% of what men make across the board. In provinces that have predominately male occupations (like

I went shopping with an $800 budget and walked out with a $1700 dress. It’s very hard to get any kind of quality dress for a reasonable price. I’m just lucky the price of my dress includes alterations and a headpiece.

I think it would be hilarious if in the reboot Zack has completely gotten his shit together and become like super responsible and successful, and Lane is super bored by him now :P

I liked Marty, but he had SERIOUS Nice Guy Syndrome (TM). I liked that Rory basically put him in his place and kept him there.

This. Jess was incredibly emotionally abusive. I can’t say for certain that it would have gone further than that, but he treated Rory horribly and her family and friends even worse.

I think there was precedent for Dean being a jealous guy. All of Rory’s interactions with Tristan in season 1 showed that side of him. That said, they did obviously dumb him down when Jess showed up and turned him into little more than a caveman.

Dean was a great starter boyfriend - the harmless nice guy who could reach high things. I don’t like what they did with his character as the show went on, but I think it would have been great if they were able to just have Rory and Dean be friends without any of the drama.
