But, they like totally have a black president, so you know, #equality.

Eh, everyone’s different, regardless of how many, if any, siblings they had. There are certainly challenges to being an only child (I can’t imagine being the only one when my parents pass away, or are old and sick), but there are also challenges to having siblings.

I aware of what the word altruism means, but thanks for literally spelling it out for me. That was necessary.

Why shouldn’t a powerful person, or even a person running for an elected position, be nice to someone who is feeling down? I don’t get this.

I’m with you. You can be both self serving and kind at the same time - there’s no need for those to be mutually exclusive. Lots of people do volunteer work that helps them gain job experience, or get their name out there - but they also do it because they have a passion for the cause and are doing a good thing. I hate

Friggin’ Joyce. I hate Joyce.

Oh, well, this seems like a list full of completely reasonable people that we should definitely listen to.

The trouble with Chris Christie is that he’s not a total idiot, which means he’s probably going to outperform 90% of the peanut gallery that makes up the Republican candidates. He wont win, but he may actually lend some semblance of credibility to the debates and force the more likely candidates - Bush and maybe Rubio

I consider myself very lucky to be raised in an upper middle class home, where all of my needs were met and *sometimes* I got what I wanted. I say this because my parents never shied away from teaching me the value of a dollar. We did chores and got a small allowance ($5 a week or something), and were expected to work

Amy Poehler is the voice of Joy in life.

I don’t completely agree. There are two different things at play here: a wedding, and a marriage. Yes, they’re intrinsically linked, but the wedding is the public display - it’s the part that you’re inviting people to participate in. It makes sense that that’s the part people would naturally comment on, because that’s

Good lord. I would be my own worst enemy, because I would have had to ask what, exactly, a raped girl is supposed to be like.

Nope, a professional MC is most definitely a “thing”. It’s a less personal approach to MCing an event, but they keep the show running and make sure everything happens on time. It’s also a good option if you just don’t have anyone in your friend or family circle that is comfortable speaking in front of a crowd/is

Truth. I’ve never even considered a band for my wedding because A) I want people to be able to request their favourite songs, as is, and B) I want to hear Ed Sheeran sing Ed Sheeran, not some rando and their buddies.

I’m not racist, I just hate black people. Why can’t people understand the difference?

I have to thank you for not including a huge picture of a spider. I was creeping down the page waiting for the title so I could skip over it. My arachnophobia knows no bounds.

So, I hadn’t even heard of Paper magazine until Kim K did the naked thing, and now Miley’s doing the naked thing. Can I assume Paper is just an excuse for semi-legit celebs to do the naked thing?

Both 1989 and 1984 mean they’re too old for this shit. Grow up.

This photo gave me goosebumps. What an incredible moment.

No, a more apt comparison would be to ask a liberal baker to make a cake saying “Vote Jeb Bush!” - it’s an ideological difference, and the baker should be allowed to choose not to make that cake. People deny business for all kinds of reasons - some better than others.
