So - genuine question - if PoC doesn't work for you, what would you rather be called (other than just a 'person' obviously)?

I know it's outside the realm of possibility... but can you even IMAGINE if the first female president was Sarah Palin? They would never elect another woman ever again.

My mom had laughing gas for one of her births, and barely got any of it because my dad stole it all.

Is Ben Affleck really considered sexy in all of this? All I can see when I look at him is a gigantic buttchin.

Whiteness is fight club?

So... is this what the repubs meant when they said the female body had ways of shutting down rape babies?

First time I've looked at the photos. I'm more concerned about how all of the male models look like meth addicts than I am about the peen.

Emma Watson is rapidly becoming on my favourite people in the universe.

You know, I'm not surprised by the ultra-conservative hand wringing over her sexual lyrics. What offends me is that he takes her autonomy away from her by calling her husband a pimp, and suggesting she's doing something for him instead of for herself. That's the real issue here.

I like how they keep running with the notion that the Affordable Care Act is a failed policy, given the rapid decline in uninsured Americans, and the general approval of the Act among Americans. Facts? Who needs 'em!?

Umm, that was awesome, and dead on. Good for her.

I don't like or dislike Jen Aniston, but I'm thoroughly irritated on her behalf that people/tabs wont let this shit go. She's been divorced for ages, and has her own thing going on. I don't think she spares much time lamenting the loss of her husband when she's doing so well herself.

I have to physically stop myself from getting in a Friends argument.

I halfway think they didn't give more to Selma because they thought it would look like they were pandering to a particular audience after 12 Years a Slave. Don't want the blacks to think they're special, or anything.

Also, can we please just accept that "Boyhood" is a just a completely run-of-the-mill movie, and the only reasons it's getting any kind of distinction is because it was filmed over 12 years and made by Richard Linklater (sp?).

Okay, so I've been a little annoyed by the lack of diversity in the Oscar nominations. Being that they're selected by the illustrious "Academy", I thought it might be worthwhile to see who is actually in the Academy. Here's what it says:

God, I love the hypocrisy of the "small government" republican right trying to ban women from doing things with their own bodies just because they don't like it. They're like walking caricatures of themselves.

What in the actual fuck?

I don't watch the show, but I think what will be more interesting than the rape episode in and of itself, is how they deal with it in throughout the season. If they completely forget it ever happened, that's more of a problem than the rape in itself (within the context of the show, of course).

If you ask me, this man could use a pretty vigorous masturbatory session. He's all pent up and cranky.
