Currently with the iTC Mobile app developers sign in to the developer program where there is a link to show it in the App Store. Same thing with WWDC content in iTunes. They get a special link.

Thats a great way of looking at it. They do in fact always mention at events how many iTunes accounts with credit cards they have.

I think they give you a free reader too. Also there is a plan where there is not monthly fee.

@grysl: I don't think its branding that makes them sell well its software (iTunes) and now the App Store. It is so easy to manage your music with iTunes and sync your iPod than to drag and drop files onto your PMP.

Yea, Boxcar only provides push notifications for many services. Nothing special.

I was just thinking today, "What is going to be the killer feature of iOS5?", and this is exactly what I was thinking. An all new notification system that will be "better" than any other OS.

Thats tricky since T-Mobile is not the one selling it. Its sold by Google through Best Buy.
