Long Island is Suffolk County so there is no need to say "Suffolk County/Long Island" Long Island is made up of Suffolk and Nassau county.

Definitely better, I was able to get 4.5Mbps download and 2.8Mbps upload.

Most people I know with the iPhone 4 upgraded from a 3G to the 4 skipping the 3GS. Some even were eligible but just didn't feel it was worth it.
