@cheers12: Jailbreaking also allows illegal acts to be accomplished. Downloading apps from the app store without paying is illegal to me and hurts me financially. I think that falls somewhere under piracy. They are downloading software without paying for it.

Google Sync for iPhone? Works great for me and iOS 4 has native support for it. It just as simple as Android.
