New Yorker reporter Luke Mogelson followed the insurrectionists into the Capitol and captured one of the them becoming alarmed that they had been betrayed because there was piece of paper on Ted Cruz’s desk with the word “objection” on it (it was to object certifying the electoral votes for Biden, as Cruz had

I swear to god, it’s like Eugene Goodman was the only fucking officer doing his job.

I love Julia Ormond. As a little girl in the 90s I thought she was the most beautiful and romantic actress in the world. I watched Legend of the Fall, First Knight and Sabrina over and over again. I was very happy when she joined Mad Men for the later seasons.

The Senate can pretty much make up their own rules, so if they want to do a secret vote it’s in their own hands to make that happen.

My one hope is that the Dems convince even a handful of his followers how much he hates and despises them.

Can the vote be secret? I mean are they legally allowed to make that rule? That would be helpful.

^^this. I watched the first one, hoping to see a sliver of a conscience among the GOP. The disappointment, rage, and fury I felt then is not something I want to repeat.

I can’t watch any of it. I do want the Democrats to make a convincing case, (which, frankly, shouldn’t be hard,) but I just cannot stand listening to the Republicans make cynical and hypocritical arguments that the whole trial is pointless.

He’s an idiot. I can buy that Trump has some kind of animal cunning that let him tap into the worst parts of American culture and leverage that ignorance to his advantage. But that feels almost coincidental, like he was a symptom of something larger that landed him where he was, and then had the right “skillset”

I also feel compelled to point out that Theresa May is 5'8" but only appears a few inches shorter than Dipshit in the picture above. 6'3" my ass. Maybe he was having a “bad standing-up day” and left the elevator shoes that make him lean forward and look uncomfortably like a centaur under the bed.

1) it sounds like Trump had an unsteady gait and needed help but wanted to hide it. My gut instinct went there because a handful of old people in my life just grabbed my hand or forearm when they need to get across a street or step over something. Never bothered me, but that’s what it reminded me of.

I like how we all moved on quickly from him cheating on his current wife (who the f*ck holds hands romantically with someone AFTER they are done shooting a film) AFTER profiting off of Britney’s youth and supposed infidelity that was never really proven and that both him and Jessica Biel are anti vaxxers. FUCK HIM.

Between the brazen slut shaming, obsession and profit off the Brittney split 15+years ago, the Janet Jackson bullshit, getting no scrutiny for his unvaccinated kids, and the blaccent....

This Britney thing is really starting to disturb me. There are so many voices, so many “friends” and “exes” and “insiders”.

I just read X AE A-Xii as E-I-E-I-O in my head and thats gonna be that kid’s name for me from now on.

And AOC properly (and proper) ripped into her for it.

I completely agree and have been saying the same for years: none of this would be happening if Fox News (and Limbaugh) hadn’t been on the air for the last 25 years. And they just paved the way for even more extremist right-wing media. I’m just old enough to have come of age before Fox went on the air, and I remember

It’s depressing really. Last summer I moved back home because I’m fully remote. My parents also wanted me to be closer so I made the move. Over the past 5 years my mom has told me that my dad is becoming radicalized but I never knew how bad it actually was until moved back. Every day he talks about killing democrats

Rep. Nancy Mace (Q-SC) is especially disgusting. On the day of the insurrection, she tweeted out that she barricaded herself in her office (two doors away from AOC) because she feared that Trump supporters would be looking for her, and now she’s trying to downplay AOC’s account of her own fear - even though AOC is a)

This is us, America. Our own representatives fear for their lives by just showing up for work. And that fear of threat extends to their unhinged coworkers.
