I relate to this so much as well. I’m the last of our family tree. No kids, all family is older and my spouse has a good chance of having bankrupting health issues that will kill him one day. So I panic sometimes thinking about my future life of seeing everyone into the ground and then trying to figure out how to live…

I feel the same! I keep trying to apply some sort of logic with people like her so I can figure out their world view but nothing sticks.. My conclusion is they see everything they do as ok but if someone else does the same thing, it’s offensive or appalling or a witch hunt. They make my brain hurt.

I am better thanks! Bad thing was 3 weeks before, I was grazed by another cat and my hand blew up from it. Really bad luck but antibiotics are amazing!

My mom and I were bit by the same panicked cat and she had absolutely no adverse reaction and I swelled up immediately. I wonder if it’s something individually physiological that prompts the overreaction.

I am weak when it comes to cat venom. (I know they’re not venomous but it seems like they are to me!) My mom’s cat freaked out and bit us both badly. I ended up swelling like crazy and my mom didn’t take the antibiotics and just healed like they were normal cuts.

I’ve heard a guy say that because someone is rich, he must be a good guy. He just said it plain like that...it was the wrongest wrong thing I’ve heard said in a long time. Same guy hates regulations because he believes that these big companies would do the right thing.

That was my takeaway after seeing the Netflix doc about it. That would have been a great save but I guess it didn’t fit Billy’s idea of luxury. It was funny/sad that he wasn’t ever really told the cruise ship was shot down by anyone official...just that guy saying “Oh, that’s not happening, didn’t you hear?”

Did you watch the Netflix show about it? Wow! The festival was always going to be terrible. The one guy who had a good idea about bringing in a cruise ship was asked to leave. That would have been a great save in my opinion.

I didn’t know anyone from the area that was affected directly but I worked at the news and the footage that came in for weeks of all the damage. We had to check the footage to make sure there were no dead people or animals shown. It is seared into my brain.

The people in the more populated areas in North Texas just don‘t talk about him. It’s so odd. I was also completely mystified that conservative trolls loved to talk about the Obama birther stuff but would refuse to discuss Ted’s Cuban/Canadian history.
