Part of the reason that 5th Gear gets murdered by Top Gear is because the Top Gear hosts have so much more charisma and chemistry (although the host, Tiff Needell is a faaaaaaaaaaaaaar better driver than any of the Top Gear guys).

If they could find such a unicorn, then they could try it, but I still think it would just take away from the core appeal of the program. What those three have is special. Why fuck with it just for the sake of pleasing some [totally hypothetical, cause nobody is demanding women on Top Gear atm] whiners?

Nah, I think it would be terrible. The chemistry between the three hosts (and the quality of production, obviously) is what makes that show special.

Yeah, but that doesn't really work in real life given that women's breasts are viewed in sexual terms more so than men's chests are (at least generally, there are some women out there that don't mind pawing at our chests at the first opportunity, lack of invitation be damned).

Sympathizing with people involves putting yourself in their position. Most men, put in the position of being sexually pursued by women or complimented without provocation probably wouldn't mind, simply because it would be such a pleasant deviation from the norm where they have to pursue attention.
