The premise is good but that video isn’t doing it any favors. Nothing scary about it.

I’m not sure how analyst think this is a bad thing. If it is able to basically be the PS Vita, but play nearly every game, the guys who are on board port over all the old games (at the start, new games down the pipeline), and I can take those with me?

There’s rumours supported by Nintendo’s comments that this is the home console-centric version. A handheld version that will replace the 3DS will be out later, sharing the same architecture.

What he meant is, “the Switch is not a cellphone and my experience with videogames amounts to Candy Crush and its ilk, so I don’t see the point”.

Nintendo systems are not for kids, they’re for people who were kids 25 years ago.

By far, by far, the most exciting thing about the Switch is that Nintendo will be putting all, or at least the vast majority, of their resources towards one system. No splitting things up like Wii/DS or whatever. The Mario people make a Switch game, the Fire Emblem people make a Switch game, the Pikmin people make a…

Given that I don’t PC game and do not have PS4 or XBox One, and that I play the 3DS more than I have any other game system ever, I’ll take the Switch.

The former. I believe 100% that Nintendo will bury their franchises with them than have them go software only.

You do realize it’s all simulated and none of its actually representitive of the actual gameplay right?

Are the environments in the full game going to be as dull as this demo? This game screams Vita port to me right now. It just doesn’t feel like a AAA effort from Square-Enix.
