After such a long time of knowing about Patreon, I might finally become a patron. Despite barely knowing these guys, I feel like they deserve the help, and I’d be willing to give a few dollars for a couple of months.

Cool, i had hoped those guys would get together and do their own thing, after all this is the age of independent creators and there are plenty of opportunity to do what you like and get paid for it directly by your fans instead of some company or corporation.

To think that this could possibly get more kids (hell, even adults!) out and exploring and communicating with other trainers just makes me smile a bit.

I say no, the game companies gain nothing if someone sells it. To counter that I think there would be a decrease in frequent sales which keeps a lot of demand for the online stores.

Oh I know they’re not going to do any upgrade path that was just a pipedream thing. I’m betting if this does happen, it’ll be a brand new enhanced system but all games will work for both the PS4 and PS4.5.

Just because you can upgrade doesn’t mean you have to upgrade, and PC gaming is the perfect example of that.

There’s nothing stopping developers from going in and patching in higher resolution/high quality support for older games if they detect the new hardware.

they definately would NOT do a trade your PS4 get a PS4.5 for $50 bucks....EVERYTHING depreciates in value, a $30,000 car is not worth $30,000 the moment you drive it off the lot. Same thing applies to consoles your $400 console is barely worth $200 if that now 2+ years later

The way to remedy that is to force all games to be compatible with both the PS4 and the PS4.5, the PS4.5's main difference is 4k support and better performance, textures.
