They're not ruining it per se but the audience does take their recommendations seriously and sometimes the sites just aren't prepared.
I tried it a little later and it finally loaded although slower than I expected.
Funny thing is I took Lifehacker's advice and installed "Offline Wiki" for Chrome and I still get the black page on Wikipedia today.
Another site brought down by being mentioned by Lifehacker.

Does anyone know if this still causes the extension to run at start-up compared to running only when Chrome is open?
I was concerned about this but there is an option that allows the user to turn off Whispernet delivery for personal documents.
It does this automatically and sends the PDF to your device.
The right-click context menu will only show up when right-clicking on documents that are supported by the Kindle document delivery service. When printing though if you can print it you can send it to your Kindle with this utility.
I've had no problems with what I've used but having had Android before switching to iOS I think that it doesn't offer what Android does. When I reset an Android phone the sync-in-the-cloud that Android does ends up setting my phone back up for me in the background but iCloud wants to restore not only my apps but back…
I'll add my voice to that. All my movies are on my Mac at home; I only keep a few on my work PC.
Probably so and in the process make this service less attractive.
I was going to say the same thing. Besides, all this app does is allow you to view what you've uploaded, you can't even tell it to open a .doc in another app or anything.
I think this is true: it's not a matter of the individual airline's program as much as who is the prominent airline at your local airport. I live near and fly out of SLC so Delta is my airline of choice because it's either them or Southwest and I have bad experiences nearly every time I fly Southwest so it's Delta by…
It is because all of the features on the version that was previously $30 version are now an in-app purchase that is $40/year so rather than subscribing you can choose to pay $100 up front. Since I paid $30 I like where I'm at now but it's all a matter of math.
I agree. It's a better product despite the need for a couple of areas where it needs a little work. Besides, I saw this update this morning and there are a lot of 1 star reviews for it already. I really think that Google is only paying lip-service to iOS apps when it really wants iPhone users to just give up and…
Is it just me or did it seem like Google Music had far more $1.29 songs than iTunes?
I like how this extension is mentioned here the day after Firefox 9 becomes available but isn't compatible with Firefox 9.
How does IM+ Pro for iOS compare to Bee Jive? I have Bee Jive but am I missing something by not picking this app up?
