I like it. It's goofy and probably silly to those in the know (owner included), but it looks really well done. Most of us have to make concessions in our day-to-day lives. It's nice that we can still have fun with those limitations. (This is, of course, assuming that the owner isn't actually a total poser..)

I was going to recommend something along these lines. No need for a whole new reader, but a durable, hangable, easily cleaned case would be nice. And realistic. A dedicated e-reader for mechanics would be less likely, and if it did come, incredibly overpriced (as the main customer would likely be large shops).
