Mentioning ze Germans in the 1st few words describing this nice Toyota. It's Sad. They seem to make a nice cars with the metallic beige paint and automatic transmissions, very popular. Not my cup o tea, but to each his own.

Just great! Now American racing is going to be associated with the 4dr beige-mobile that doesnt exist by a company from a small island 1000's of miles away. Just like their "Stock V8" in NASCAR that you can't buy at any Toyota dealer in the USA.

Nascar isn't the only kind of racing. There are diffrent types of motor racing from all over the world. I love going fast and have the tickets to prove it!

How is this good for you? Despite profits being ultimately more important for all of these automakers, they're all intent on winning new customers. my GF has a ZX2 Escort with more than 200k it doesn't have noticible smoke or leaks. It's still fun to drive dispite showing a bit of age. Dont drive Automatics.

Happily giving up some comforts to have fun driving again. You all in your beige auto sedans forget or never knew what fun driving can really be.

I long for a simpler time too, When Dad bought a newish '63 for a few hundred dollars. The metal dashboard, optional seat belts, 12" tires, drum brakes, 6v electrical system, etc.

Any new car costs a billion dollars to develop, produce, & distribute. This still just looks like Mercedes leftovers to me.

It looks like a late 80's early 90's mercedes right down to the plastic cladding below the beltline.

How do GM executives not know how popular Euorpean cars are? Why spend millions of dollars hiding any connection that you have to European cars? Save a ton of dough and just sell Opels in the US.
