that’s where I make it political because *big* employers raise prices because their big boy execs couldn’t ever absorb any extra costs themselves when they’re making buttloads of markup while generally leaving wages stagnant over the last 25 years.

It’s not about what the cause was, it’s about the reality of inflation and unemployment being inversely related.

Or corporate profits have to come down. Nobody ever brings that up.

Ah yes, more folks are working and have a bit more money than they have in 30+ years so now inflation is our fault. Not the price gouging and stock buy backs, or the PPP loan forgiveness, it’s the regular folks who’ve been scraping by for decades.
