Not this EV owner. I’d take the Lucid and it’s effortless speed any day.

No disrespect to the challenger. Its cool that they found a way to make a road legal version of their drag race chassis.I would MUCH rather have the Sapphire

I love this video. I always thought Dodge was full of shit with their “certified” 8.9 second pass, and this proves it. If a guy who teaches drag racing in a demon 170 can’t get anywhere close to that figure, it can’t be done.

Spartans never die son. And I agree, out of all the EVs there, I am rooting for Lucid the most, they are beautiful inside and out. But as a person who just doesn’t care about interior aesthetics over driving fun, it would just get old to me quick and turn into an appliance.

I disagree. I buy fast cars because they’re fast. Not because they *sound* fast.

Too noisy. I hate noisy cars and motorcycles.

I would WAY rather have the Lucid. It’s a better car.

The article is about the best selling VEHICLE, not the best selling BRAND. 1,000 is less than 3,200.

The way electric cars are able to put power on the ground is simply mindblowing. The Lucid is a marvel of engineering.

I’ll take the Air, but your username clearly checks out.

It’s totally valued correctly... not because of car sales, which is their only real profit-making source. It’s because they are an AI/tech company that is making software and robots. But just don’t get too hung up on the fact that they are not even closer to being a leader in any of those areas, and other companies

Why are you comparing one model to an entire brand?

C&D says it costs 66k.  They can keep it.

I can’t believe I’m going to play devil’s advocate on Tesla’s behalf....but this doesn’t seem particularly out of line with how you’d expect most companies to run. If you work at Keurig and the (effectively) owner of the company came to you and showed you how their coffee maker broke plus a video of, I don’t know,

Mercedes has been selling cars with F1-style electric turbos for a few years now, and it makes the AMG One, which literally has an F1 engine... Audi also has cars with electric turbos, and there are other types of F1 tech that’s available in road cars, like DRS

You are not comparing apples to apples.  Model S should be compared to the Porsche Taycan...that sold 1635 units from April to June.   Doesn’t look so terrible now.

And getting cheaper in reality every minute. Especially on the used market.

Small cars are dead and gone.

Lol this article was posted for us to laugh at the guy, right? Nobody should feel bad for him. Nobody.

You buy a pickup truck, a vehicle that by definition keeps your stuff unsecured and exposed to the elements, because one day, maybe, you may help your friend move or carry a domestic appliance that otherwise will not fit in the truck of a car.
