So much WTF. Anecdotally, when I stay at my best friend's place, where I am the only non-latin american person there is always someone in the shower, whereas you have to drag my super lazy, lily white ass to the alter of american standards of cleanliness.

This is nonsense. All the Black folks who are close to me in my life shower once or twice daily. Among White folks I know, the women shower just as often; the men anywhere from once per day to every other day. This is all just anecdotal, of course, so I'm not sure that anyone can make such generalized statements.

Word. I once tried to explain to a colleague who has super fine and brittle hair (from bleaching and flat-ironing) that she does not need to shampoo her hair every day. You'd think I had just told her to start using her kitchen sink as a toilet. I'm quite certain she never even tried to take my advice.

Because I sweat in my sleep sometimes, and also because my hair requires it. I have fine, straight hair. It must be washed and styled fresh every morning. It also helps wake me up, and I just feel dirty without a shower.
Some of us get greasy and don't like to get into bed without a shower.
