There is no need for an extradition treaty. Sweden isn’t guaranteed to extradite him, but they certainly can if they want to.

Sweden stopped the ongoing case, but did not drop the charges. Swedish prosecutors can pursue it (and are relatively likely to) until the statute of limitations runs out in 2020.

It’s particularly rich because engineering is not science, it’s just applied math. Most engineers never write (or even read) peer reviewed papers or do research of any kind. A political scientist likely has more formal training on how to evaluate research than an engineer.

Engineers are not scientists, they’re more like technicians. Almost no engineers do research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, or learn to evaluate evidence. An engineer has nothing to contribute to a discussion on climate change.

Even though I owe nothing, sending in two forms through the “free file” options would have cost $50, literally just because there is one extra form included. These are forms that basically just say “0" over and over.

Yup. I just filed my US taxes, despite not having lived in the US for several years. Luckily you basically don’t actually owe any money unless you make a truly ridiculous salary, so the foreign taxation pretty much only applies to the wealthy.
