What's your hardware setup for that like?
I have a clarification about the Cotytech mount: the Cotytech mount must be hand adjusted along the length of the pole by releasing the quick release. Then, in order to raise or lower the monitors along the pole, you have to lift the monitors up and re-tighten the quick release, correct?
I can't believe he RAIDed three solid state drives. With no TRIM support, his write performance will degrade massively. Secondly, a HighPiont RocketRaid card? Get ready for data corruption. Why not do s/w raid? Third, only 6GB of RAM? Finally, why two PSUs?
I don't agree with the central tenets of this article at all. Maybe they don't matter in Europe, but in the U.S., they do.
If you install Cygwin, you should be able to do this between windows computers as well.

Lactic acid buildup is a myth. It subsides within an hour or so. Micro-tears are now the theory behind muscle soreness.
I submitted a script nearly identical to this to lifehacker over 3 years ago. Never got posted. My script also featured the ability to go to EOL, beginning of the line.

Windows doesn't put a load on your video card, as it does 2D rendering primarily (with some transparency). @TheFu: I have to echo the software RAID point. I've had far too many HW RAID's fail. And unless you've got a ton of cash to throw at battery backed, highly reliable server-grade controllers, you're doomed to failure.
@farcedude: I swear by Stellar Phoenix. It's not cheap, but I've used it to recover failing drives and formatted drives.
