Isn't voting for ANYONE but a Democrat or Republican just a silly as always blindly voting for a Democrat or a Republican? I have only once found a third party candidate for a major office that I would have voted for on their own merits (Chris Daggett 2009 NJ Gubernatorial Election if you are curious).

While that argument is indefensible and you shouldn't do blackface, I have always wondered why Robert Downey Jr never took much crap for it and why the Oscar nomination for it wasn't controversial. Asked properly, I think it's a fair question to wonder why that one instance of blackface has been deemed acceptable.
It is very possible that nobody takes himself more seriously than J.J. Watt.
