Yeah, after that first kill she basically became Jane Rambo. Somehow the game was lauded for its storytelling and character development, which had me facepalm.

I was kind of hoping for more of a “survival action” game, where she moved agilely while trying to avoid/hide from bad guys with less offensive capabilities... this looks more like a generic 3rd person action shooter.

I looked up The Fast and the Furriest and it looks just horrible. It was going to be an XBLA Xbox Vision game. This was probably the unfortunate beginning of what would eventually become Kinect Sports.

meh RE4 is when the series died and became a shooter. If you like shooters, great! If you like old school survival horror, you stopped caring after RE3. Frankly, I’m excited about Capcom asking about RE2 FINALLY.

I think menu based combat can still be fun IF they find a way to make it unique. I’ve always liked the later Phantasy Star because different things would happen if you had different characters attacking in a different order. I liked Xenogears because while it was menu based, they still had an odd combo based combat.…
