The red states are all about "states rights" and "personal accountability", but for some reason, when they suffer for all their bad decisions it's everybody else's fault and the federal government needs to fix it for them.

“It focuses on what is perceived as negatives.” - So you think that the comfort of a handful of first world nations is more important than the well being of entire countries? Even if you’re not empathetic towards poor people, what about all the species that will be going extinct? Are you saying that a short winter in

Rare, apparently.

The short answer is: no, there’s no upside. If you’re truly interested there’s lots of great documentaries and articles on the subject. Climate Refugees is definitely a documentary I'd recommend.

People who still don’t accept the science of anthropomorphic climate change don’t give half a shit about the planet, but they do care about their super precious selves and their offspring. I think the size of the republican party proves that idiots are well motivated by scaremongering misinformation.

"Science? I don't remember them donating to Obama's campaign... what's he doing?"

Plenty of people refuse to recycle but I'm still not going to throw plastic, paper, and glass into the garbage. If we all still wind up f*cked in the end, at least we wont go out with a pitiful "If China's not going renewable I'm not going renewable! So Meh!"

You realize that the administration is pro-nuclear, right?

I looked up The Fast and the Furriest and it looks just horrible. It was going to be an XBLA Xbox Vision game. This was probably the unfortunate beginning of what would eventually become Kinect Sports.

Obligatory

Know Pareto analysis? It’s where you seperate the trivial many from the important few reasons why a problem exists. You don’t tackle the important problem causers, then you don’t really achieve anything; you’re just putting on a show.

I’m watching old news stories about natural disasters, especially about floods, and I am astounded by the amount of damage afflicted to areas. They always total into the billions. Every time something bad happens, those DC politicians think they can just throw money at the problem, and then have the gall to go on

Personally, I would have no problem with nuclear if they were “perfect” at handling the waste...as it is they have way too many spills, containment failures and other issues to make it worthwhile. Recently they talked about making more energy from spent fuel rods that are still highly radioactive but not strong enough

Your sources debunked:

Larry Bell and Steven Goddard??

And you site Larry Bell from Forbes. Mmhm.

Now fuck off.

People can’t run their Cadillac Dodge Hummer Ram 5000 SLK on nuclear power...
