Yeah, I'll be honest, this review just encouraged me to seek out this novel - as I do tend to like the icky & dark - the skeevy & fictional. I do see the problem if the film presents it as 'Oh gee, why can't this grown man just fall in love and be with this young girl without mean ol' society telling them it's wrong?

I do see what you're saying but here's an alternate view point from someone who has consumed tons of media in Europe (the UK) and the USA: the USA indulges culturally in a LOT more reflection on violence in our media than the UK considers sexuality in their media.

Buddy, agreed. The only thing that seperate Europeans from us is a love of swingin' naturals, not perky ones.

I've always thought that was a bit unfair - yes, in America you can see quite violent things around 6 pm to 4 am, and in Europe you can see nude breasts quite frequently.

I just have to assume if that one didn't work in French, there were about a million other sexual puns being made that we English speakers missed. French people love sex puns.

Yep, 100x. Just watched the video - while in this particular case I don't really doubt sexual abuse took place, let's face it, the Satanic thing is always not real. Notice how only the first guy, Lamonica, even seems to bring Satan into the mix. He was probably just insane - and as schizophrenia and other forms of

Wow, pretty interesting, haven't watched yet but lately I've been impressed with Vice…as much as I hate to say it. I'm sure it's a good 20 minutes to kill.

Exactly. I always buy Rifftrax, actively encourage others to do so as well - same with Cinematic Titanic when it was a thing, and I will continue to purchase any fresh projects from Joel, Mike, or the bots & Mads in any arrangement. I do, however, watch the MST3ks I don't have on DVD on Youtube, or Netflix - with no

If that happened it would be the best television moment ever. Kurt Sutter could make every episode after that just be Vic insulting Jax in an interrogation room, and the series would end as the most perfect TV series ever.

It doesn't put my enjoyment into question. Fantasy television is different than hooting and whooping when I see a biker punch a stripper in real life.

To be fair, we are just into episode two and I've seen a couple of suspicious looks between Chibs & Bobby. Bobby especially had some illusions about the club being better, I was surprised he didn't speak up at any point yet - I'm sure he will, though. And he will be murdered by Jax.

"Murdering somewhat innocent and totally innocent people is fine, until it's Jax's wife"

Fair enough, I was just making a joke that it looked like you were saying that Jackie Chan always "had to be the bad guy" in movies, whereas really it would actually be a pretty noteworthy movie if Jackie Chan played a 'bad guy'.

because cartoon breasts are a lot less repulsive than cartoon ballsacks

wait what, Jackie Chan always plays the bad guy? Man I've been watching Rush Hour all wrong…

to be fair, he was born on Mars. For all we know, all Martians look like tousle-haired Englishmen with plush lips & rosy cheeks.

The American part doesn't help, no - but live action adaptations of anime & manga are usually really shitty, right? No matter who makes it. I've seen some of my favorites turned into, at best, very dull movies that feel like a cheap knockoff.

Yeah, I foresee a dumb wig on Margot Robbie in the near future.

Just an FYI, that wasn't Robin Williams in Tim & Eric Awesome Show. However, Tim Heidecker and him have worked together on the movie Merry Friggin' Christmas - so there wasn't any bad blood. But that particular sketch was an actor playing Robin Williams.

that's not a very shibby attitude, shibby. not shibby at all.
