My G8 was pretty reliable. The only big issue was that the L76 that came in the GT’s had a propensity to drop a lifter due to the DOD (displacement on demand) cam and stuff in the engine which did the 8 cyl./4 cyl. switching. I never had a problem though. Other than that, the main issues were strut bushings collapsing…
