Oh the irony. Dodge used to make some of the toughest transmissions you could buy (727), but that was in the before-time, the long long ago.

You win this round, America. Someone needs to try this with a Hilux now

My back hurts for this guy

I would like to see this Motor/trans. in a nice looking fox body LX Mustang.

You’re slot on. All the new gizmos on cars make then ridiculously pricey to repair. I read on this site at one point that they LED headlights on an Acura TLX are $600 so if you have a relatively minor frontal hit damaging the lights you’re $1200 in parts just for lights before anything else and labor etc. I can easily

It is by design. Not salacious greed as it often is in the automotive industry, by in this case it is by safety design. In modern designs, i.e. anything in the last ten years, everything is designed to absorb impact and break rather than stay rigid and survive but transmit the shock and full deceleration to that most

well, less visible damage. The crumple zones are probably comprimised, which means a bunch of structural work, which equals $$$.

Is it just me or is it taking less and less damage to write cars off these days?

When did turboing off-road vehicles become a thing? Last I heard you didn’t want a turbo, slow moving vehicles don’t like excessive heat build up.

a year to build, finished a month ago, now for sale for certainly less than it cost to build. This did not turn out the way he planned and he is selling it now before it is broken beyond reasonable repair. Never buy someone elses project.

Absolutely nothing. Just another LS swap groupie.

Why do you people insist on bringing this shit up ? Driving your own car isn't going to be outlawed - just stop.

Not another LS swap... ugh.

Meh. If he hits the wall he can just press Y to rewind... right?

This is a classic drift alignment, huge camber up front, nearly none in the back (maybe even positive camber!). Might not be quickest around a track, but it’s certainly not set up for hard parking.

Physics would like to have a word with you...

Best handling? Best driving?

5 and a half months? Thats it? Get the fuck outta here.

The guy did a phenomenal job on it, but I’m not sure you saw this line from the forum posts, Tavarish:
