And seeing as this is a BMW with Massachusetts plates on it, I’ll bet the turn signal bulbs are like brand new!
The Chrysler dealership I worked at had a customer bring her new Dart in, because it was making a weird whistling noise. It was 1.4l turbo.
Massachusetts only does rigorous emissions-testing on cars with OBD-II. Anything that is not OBD-II just has to pass a visual smoke check.
Don’t ever pursue a career as a financial planner, Freddy.
Kicker: A Prius because it’s incredibly good at what it does (which is ONE thing, very well) and hard-core car people hate on it even though their hotrod rides could never come close to the Prius’ specialized performance. The Prius, like an NFL kicker, gets no respect.

What I learned from this experience is simple: most pickup truck owners don’t care what they need. They care only what they want.
I like that this is a truck without pretense, as opposed to the hyper-testosteronal bro-mobile that every other pickup has seemingly become.
um, turbochargers HAVE to suck*...how else are they going to get all that air in.
Keeping 7-liter V8s down to 200hp is a technical achievement only the Americans could pull off. Don't be jealous.
God damnit. I also really dislike the constant worshipful adoration that these cars get. They're brilliant I'm sure, but I too get turned off by that.
