Goddamit! Give us an EV with a manual transmission already, BOSCH says it’s inevitable let’s just get on with it so gear heads like me will have no reason to protest electric cars. Imagine a motor that revs to 20,000 rpm with a five speed. It’ll also help range because the gearbox will help efficiency in the same way

I normally don’t give two shits about a cars interior much less infotainment but they couldn’t give you android-whateverplay also?

I’m curious about what an autonomous car would’ve done in that situation any idea’s?

It was probably a knee jerk reaction to the challenger coming up behind him. I’ve had a cop come over the top of a hill behind me going 100 mph and I got out of the way but didn’t have time to even think to signal. Unless your talking about the challenger in that case carry on.

Fuck it, let’s all start prepping our cars for a mad max apocalypse!!!

At first glance I got King mixed up with another writer and though “Another rant about how humans aren’t capable of wiping their own ass”

Maybe but I think Unbearable pain has a point. The general public wildly overestimates how intelligent computers are. Until we have AI their just parrots they do what you teach them.

I like the car sharing idea. I just hope they don’t force autonomous cars on people who outright buy cars because of the increased complexity and expense of them.

Can I get ungrayed? I already have two stars!

How are people going to afford these autonomous cars? The Tesla S is over $100k and from what I read apart from the freakin’ Ipad their is nothing special about the interior. So how is a family suppose to afford an autonomous minivan that’ll probably cost $150k? Not to mention maintenance, think your gonna save on

Crazyskittles2 uses econ 101 it’s super effective!

That doesn’t really mean much. You know that formula for recalls in fight club? Wal-mart didn’t have security guards for the longest time because it was cheaper to do out of court settlements for when their employees mugged or raped someone in the parking lot than to hire security guards. My stats teacher used to work

autonomous cars could be worse than humans. I work with autonomous equipment for the military and not only does it make a 70's jag look reliable it requires extensive maintenance. sensors and radars need to be calibrated, BIT tests need to be run, connections and contacts need to be checked. As poorly as people

Correct me if I’m wrong but if a sensor degrades physically and is still sending data that’s within a certain range but inaccurate will the computer compensate for it? For example if outside interference causes the radar that monitor another car’s speed to send false data saying the car is decelerating how will the

LOL 1) I’d love to be enlighten

Yeah I don’t know much about coding but, I know the computer is just looking for data from a sensor. If the sensor starts throwing bad data the computer will just accept it, it has know way of verifying if it’s accurate.

What about when the sensor that tracks the car in front of it goes out? The car thinks everything is hunky dory and keeps going even though he’s braking now. Example if your fan relay blows your radiator fan shuts off. The computer won’t know anything is wrong till the coolant gets too hot and that’s all the computer

The whole point if the electric component fails but the mechanical one doesn’t you’re SOL because their is no way to control the mechanically sound component.

It’s pretty obvious when someone is having an allergy attack bad enough to need medical attention.

You can get an AWD civic wagon for that or less.
