You magnificent bastard, I salute you!

I didn't really enjoy the pilot, but I figured, what the hell…it's only 8 episodes. I liked this one better, however…but I have to wonder how the addition of a sidekick is going to go with the rest of the story.

And she was a klutz, which was central to her character and served to make her more endearing.

To echo bfred, read Bazaar of Bad Dreams. Also, Full Dark, No Stars…all brutality…and a fantastic collection of novellas.

Eh…I wasn't particularly enthused. I love the book, and the tone of the show isn't the same…Franco is too angry, Cooper is too, and there are things which are significant to the book (such as Al's routine with the Yellow Card Man) that have been dropped. My husband already listened to me bitch about it last night…I…

That's because childfree women don't age at the same rate as those burdened with offspring. ;)

I've never understood it either. It's my life, and I've put far more thought and effort into not having children than parents do for having them.
