Not gonna lie the whole childbirth experience is pretty awful on the whole but I found it 100% worth it and would recommend. People do it all the time!

Polite honesty can go a long way. Have you told her you’re not comfortable with her talking about your MIL negatively? Need to prep yourself so it’s not emotional when you say it just matter of fact and don’t try hide it in excuses, just come out and say it directly so she can’t ignore or minimise it.
