There is alot of speculation that the last announcement is Source2 Engine, and if we flash back to the source1 engine announcement they first revealed HL2 during the source engine demo. We cud have a high chance of Valve doing the same again but Source 2 engine with a HL3 demo

Tbh the most realistic FPS would have your squad locate the enemy wait around for 5-10 mins for your order conformation that you are able to engage which would then consist of your squad unloading rounds in the general direction in a attempt to suppress them while you wait for a airstrike to finish them off.
