I support my wife's habit of working at a non profit. She's good at what she does (grant writer, fundraiser, communicator).

I believe that's registering as a 501(c)(3) organization.

More proof that when the government says they'll help, you should run away screaming.

I have a One, but I figured I'd see if it was legit. I'm getting "Invalid Code" when I enter 1, "1", One, etc in the field. Can anyone else confirm that it works?

As I posted on the other story about this...

This is one bucket list item you should do ASAP.

Luckily, my Southwest flights are all less than the capacity of my laptop. No charging required. I love the live TV. Watched the Olympics from the skies.

California resident here. I was ticketed in January 2010 by a National Park Service ranger 1 mile outside of Yosemite National Park. 55 in a 45, because the outside of El Portal, CA extended to the Park boundry. I mistakenly thought that the limit returned to 55 after I left town, but that's a different story.

Yup, mine has as well. I think it's for the better, for me at least. I would order 3, no ketchup, no mustard, and I'd be set for the evening.

Ugh, it's scary enough for my wife and I to look over our expenditures every month. I can't imagine doing this! Kudos to these folks for doing it.

Back when I was running a LeMons team, our biggest expense was two HANS devices for the team, one for each car. I had too many husbands and fathers on my team to settle for a stupid foam neck brace.

With my WP8 phone, my Surface, Xbox One, and jumping on the SkyDrive bandwagon early, somehow I've racked up 68GB of storage. 40GB of that is "Enthusiast Bonus" storage that will expire in a year though.

Love my chromecast. Wish it had support for WP8, but knowing Google that's not going to happen. I guess I'll keep my old iPhone 4 around for awhile longer.

Replace water/milk with beer for pancakes/waffles. It does the trick when you can't find any sourdough or buttermilk lying around. I usually grab a cheap pilsner, and it gives a nice banana taste (strangely).

I moved to California 10 years ago and I've met some of my best friends and my wife at my church. Not necessarily on Sunday either. My church had very age-specific groups (post-college, young professionals, 30s, etc) that put people of similar background in the same room. I don't know where I'd be without those

Amazing!

It's the poor man's hi-fi, and I love it.

I agree, it really does take some getting used to. It took me a few months to really modify my usage around what it could do. I use the type keyboard (didn't like the touch). I still have to find solid footing for it when using it on my lap. I'm a bigger guy, and on a plane it works very nicely where a regular

When I was shopping for a new laptop-ish machine, I had only two requirements. Touchscreen and windows capability. I loved my iPad, but felt hampered by the lack of control I had over how the thing ran (although the app selection was awesome). After having it for a few years, I just couldn't go back to having a

I'm in a hotel now. Thanks for the tip!
