Short and sweet. I was 8 years old, Dad put me in the driver's seat of our 80's Ford Bronco. When I figured out steering, stopping and starting, he put me in our 70's Saab 900 with a stick. It was hard getting into 2nd gear for this kid, but I figured it out.

You have a point, however this car has tremendous value to the gearhead who put it together. This guy isn't doing the resto-flip looking to make 20 g's, he's driving a 30 year old jap hatch, and he got to enjoy doing it. And you never know, he might be able to sell it for $300 to the next sucker.
