I will say that KIA and Hyundai have come a long way. But, sometimes brand prestige and a slight bump in quality is worth 5k more. For only a few more grand than KIA money, I could own something other than a KIA. Even though the KIA is a fine choice for a few grand less.

I suggest the civic option. That plant out of a 05+ Odyssey should be easy to find, and probably madcap enough stock (244hp in a shoebox) that you will have some time to work your way up to pushing the chassis to the limit, and thus getting bored...
