“Support it but not participate” can mean “voting against ‘Right to Work’ legislation”, so it can mean more than nothing.

Binding Arbitrations should have been deemed unconstitutional from the start. They are in direct violation of the 5th and 14th amendments, operating in direct contradiction of an individual’s LEGAL rights — and, no, you cannot sign your rights away. They are yours. Inalienable. That’s what makes binding arbitrations

It feels like another pile of fake outrage that feeds upon itself for energy. An instance where completely missing the point begets anger.

It’s pretty weird how attitudes towards “cheating” in video games have evolved over the years. I remember when I was a kid, the primary value of things like “video game magazines” was that they had the cheats in them. I knew one kid who was was briefly the coolest kid in school since he was the first in his peer

Of course not...everything should be perfect and impeccable right out of the gate, no exceptions.

I am so completely done with this absolutely fucking moronic, misguided horseshit crusade against Epic.

Look, I get it, the Epic store has a long way to go, but it’s been around for FOUR GODDAMN MONTHS! Valve has had 12 YEARS to develop and build up Steam to where it is now. Yes there are things the Epic store should

It’s a six month deal. Seriously if you’re disdain for loading a different program besides Steam is more intense than your love for the game you for some reason can’t play then I don’t know what to tell you. Like, I get it. We all have our hills we die on. But like, I just don’t get it. At all. You do you though.

Sure, they have lore and story to experience, but those things are vague and confusing, and absolutely take a backseat to the gameplay. The difficulty and skill required to excel at those games is ENTIRELY THE POINT of them, and giving people an easy mode flies directly in the face of what they were designed to be.

From Software’s games seem to encourage a strange mixture of masochism and elitism. And I’m not above it. Soloing Ornstein and Smough feels good in part because you’re always playing a failure montage inside your head, picturing the fight like the instant replay in Super Meat Boy.

Of course an easy mode has ruined a game.

It’s just, for so long there were so many things in real life that I was excluded from because I wasn’t physically good enough to do them. And now that I’ve finally found something I am good at in video games, all I want is to... exclude others the way I was excluded and make them feel just as miserable as I felt.

I see a lot of people in the comments seem to be missing the point (or maybe I am, so if you have compelling justification I’d love to hear it).

There was a time in my life where I derived pleasure from beating Call of Duty 2 on veteran. Now I have two kids, a wife, a job, a side business, and an hour a night to play games (if I’m lucky). So now I’m a content tourist. I want to see all the cool stuff, I don’t have time to “get good.”

If that’s the case then you’re all hilariously fucking insecure lmao I’m playing this game as it’s intended. also played and beat dark souls and bloodborne. But: I’m not against an easier difficulty being added. They have a visually appealing look to them and people want to play. Gatekeeping, and being exclusive is

Yes it has, it was called Resident Evil 2 “Arrange Mode” which is easy mode and didn’t arrange anything other than making it easier.

I’ll be honest. All these responses to the effect of ‘maybe this kind of game isn’t for you and anyway there are plenty of other games’ sounds like someone complaining that we don’t need Braille books because maybe blind people should just accept that books aren’t for them.

I play games for fun and have limited time for playing games, so having a hard game and repeating same sections for hours is not really feasible for me also i tend to find it frustrating and not fun and for some reason i do not get a sense of accomplishment when beating something. Of course a lot of this is really

I never liked games with just one “difficulty”. I prefer my first playthrough to be on easy, so I can enjoy the story, and once I got the hang of the gameplay, then I kick up the difficulty for more of a challenge. But getting that challenge right from the start is a buzzkill for me.

I play some games for the story, I play some games for the experience and gameplay. If it’s for the story it doesn’t mean it has to be easy but I also may not mind it. If it’s for gameplay I’ll often get bored of a game that is too easy. However I don’t care if there is an easy mode that I don’t have to select.

But then you couldn’t soak in the agony (wif a fren) that was getting all the way to the top of the tower (ghost piranha) before fighting Murai only to have to go back down (ghost piranha) to get more potions and then back up (ghost piranha) to then beat the living piss out of Murai on Master Ninja after weeks of
