I'll be there Thursday and Friday, demoing.

Music, movies, microcode, and high-speed pizza delivery.

This is the week before GDC; there is no procrastination until later.

Nice!

It strikes me as weird that killing kids is super-offensive, killing unborn kids is also offensive, but killing adults doesn't bother anybody. I'm not opposed to violence in games, but this is just one of those weird things about human nature.

@Befitzero: I hated the opening intro to this game, when I was looking for something more akin to paper and pencil or turn-based gameplay.

I'm enjoying it quite a bit. Played for a bit on each server and then paid $6.50 to unlock the monk class, and the fun has been well worth that much at least. My wife and I will sometimes duo, but I haven't even grouped with anyone else yet.

Half the meetings I've been in that I've hated have been BECAUSE of arguments — usually when two people agree, everyone else in the room can see that they agree, yet they still fail to communicate. The other half have been because 80% of the time is spent talking about things irrelevant to my job.

@slotter: It really depends on the setup. If it's an independent studio, chances are they get paid for delivering milestones, and then they might get some royalties once sales reach a certain threshhold; some kind of loan or investment might also be involved. Even if the dev studio is owned by the publisher they

Would be nice to see the breakdown of that "publisher" slice of pie, to see how much the developers get on average, how much goes to marketing and packaging and so on.

@JIBYC: that is the best news ever.

@fulldamage: I was thinking the same thing.

@Bayashi: I can min-max D&D characters but really don't want to read every IRS rulebook and supplement and errata :) For a few years in a row, TurboTax Online has been able to save me more money than the amount they charge for using it.

Well... it's a scale mail bikini instead of a chain mail bikini. But to be fair, the male barbarian isn't wearing a lot of armor either.

Features lists like this don't really capture the essence of the various networks.

@Jake712: same here. I guess the whole objection was to the word "analog", but call it "carrot" or "nanotech" or whatever you want to, this is pretty nice.

I'd think it'd be more annoying to get a binder clip in the eye.

@MIKEAWESOME: if you have a task killing app, kill the Market and restart it. Otherwise, rebooting your phone should clear it up.

What's with the armor? When I think monks (at least the fantasy/shaolin kind) I don't think gigantic freaking shoulder pauldrons more suited to a joust or a museum.
