My quick look did not bring up any deep discounts. Hertz here has a 2020 Toyota 4Runner with 9,000+ miles for only $700 less than a comparably-equipped new 4Runner 2020 at a local dealer. No thanks, I will pay the extra $700 for a shiny new one with 9000+ more miles of warranty.  

We just finished a 2,000 mile roadtrip in a 2015 CR-V. It held the two of us, all or our gear, got us into backcountry adventures, and averaged 34 mpg for the whole trip. What 20 yr old minivan averages 34 mpg on a long road trip?
