I don’t care your skin color. Take a fucking shower if you start to smell. I wish, if anything, airlines would start taking body odor much more seriously as an issue. I have been on flights with people who really fucking reek to the point of making you gag. If having your BO pointed out is really that traumatic, then

Faster than you might think. They have a LOT of power, and the big modern ones have rotating engine pods so they can put FULL power into reverse to stop. This isn’t a container ship or oil tanker with massive weight and only a single propeller.

I was a bit surprised to read that they found him.  I guess someone knew right away where he’d been so they could use GPS but even being next to the beach in yellow-flag water makes it hard to spot a person.

I don’t think the actual experience is like what you’re imagining. First, assuming you’re right about “the whole point,” you’re in the middle of the ocean, so you’re definitely “away from the city.” The cruise I took wasn’t on a ship this big, but it was an pretty big RC cruise ship and I also almost never felt like I

You signed up to post that, huh.

IIRC the recovery rate for man overboard situations is depressingly low. Turns out it is really hard to spot an individual person treading water in the ocean.

The cruising on the ocean, the touristy stops, and so forth, do appeal quite a bit to lots of people.  And sometimes you can get deals that make the week-long experience cheaper than if you just did a week-long road trip.

Somewhat on topic: Earlier today I saw my first ever Cybertruck in the wild, in a grocery store parking lot. I LOL’d because it looks so much dorkier IRL than in pictures.

As far as I can tell, this is the first reasonable use of a cybertruck.

There are things missing and/or broken, but I still adore it.

I don’t cruise, but have watched enough travel videos from those who do to understand that the design of modern cruise ships make it VERY hard to just “fall”. Every railing, ledge, balcony, etc. is at least chest-high for an average-sized adult - some are more than head-high.  The conclusion they all point to is that

But isn’t that still art? The whole purpose of art is to produce thoughts and/ or emotional responses. It just turns out it’s a negative response for you

Do you get mad at art museums too?

Dang these Pepsi Prank ads have gotten out of control.

Getting near an orca and it’s calf? How is this guy still even alive?

What a shame. They should have kept him long enough to not being able to arrive in time.

...yet governments can’t mandate automatic headlights AND TAIL LIGHTS that turn on when it gets dark.

Instead of disabling the GPS, just don’t consent to your location being tracked. They cannot force you to be monitored 24/7 (yet).

The 2007 APR R8

I am giving this a very cautious NP. On one hand, it is a very nice GT for not a lot of cash. However, that ABC system in early 2000s Mercs is known to crap out around 80 - 100k miles, and the bill to repair/replace can easily run up to several thousand dollars. I don’t know how feasible it is to replace those with a
