A price increase of a console this long after release does seem crazy, but remembering that Microsoft sells the Xbox console at a net loss already it doesn’t seem too wild given the state of the economy

I was you in a sense, I was the very last person I knew of to get a RRoD on my 360 after years. And then I went through 9 RRoDs, back to back, none lasting over a month. The only silver lining was that for every 3 I called in to Microsoft, I was given a free game with the next 360 they shipped to me

Expansions are $25-$40 each (not counting special editions) (oh, and they might just go ahead and kill the content you paid for anyways) - Nope they’ve already said no more sunsetting and expansions coming once a year at $40 is pretty reasonable.
