I'm with you on this one. All miatas - and damn near all good looking cars - look stupid with front plates in the center of the grill. That's just life. Either you take it off and deal with the risk, or you side/drop mount it and deal with the risk. That's just part of having a nice looking/legal car.

It was probably the same worthless piece of shit human garbage snowboarder who set off an avalanche that destroyed a home and killed a woman in the same town a couple of weeks ago. . . .

GM has been doing this for a long time, actually. Various production companies on the North Slope of Alaska have been experimenting with CNG using GM factory setups for quite some time. My dad picked up one of their ex-fleet k3500s quite a few years ago. I think it was a 2000.
Apparently North Slope gas was too dirty

In alcohol-related accidents there is the thought that the relaxed state of the intoxicated person reduces injuries.

As my first car, I'm always going to have a soft spot for these. Also, since I still have it (and do on occasion DD it in the summer when needed), I am definitely intrigued by doing a v6 swap when my 1.6 finally goes bang.

Maybe more correctly "When Tanner Faust is your bus driver".
If I remember right, didn't he once get fired for drifting a shuttle bus at a ski resort?

That is goddamn epic, IMO. The Volvo isn't even close.

Aaaaaaaand the photos of winter hoonage are. . .where?

A 9-3 turbo X passed me today. It was a deep plumb color that I hadn't seen before on a Saab. It was beautiful, and I had a sad.
This is not so beautiful. . . but I still like it. I think it would indeed have grown on me, but alas it would actually need to be around for that to happen. And it is not.
I has another sad.

Look at all the sidewall. Could have gone at least another 2" larger on the wheel. 32s or GTFO.

I work for the US Forest Service and we have multiple research projects that are all tied very closely to the new imagery we will be getting from this satellite very soon. Projects range from mapping new roads for public access, to predicting future fires, to modeling wildlife habitat with new high-resolution photos.

Here in my town there is an ex-cop crown vic that some broke student trundles around in. It is white, with badges still painted on the doors (they tried to get some of it off, but you can still read all the letters). It still has the bull bar and spotlight, and they even went as far as to install a roof rack on it

. . .along with super-rapid-fire horn toots. . .

So, since these cars are already approved on US markets, would that imply that one could import the above stripper model to the US with little issue? Granted it would still probably be cheaper to duplicate with a showroom BRZ, but whatever.

Glad to see some love for the 2-stroke sled on here. Growing up with them, there is nothing quite like the smell of 2-stroke smoke on a cold crisp morning while getting ready for a day of riding.

Nice to see he's finally back to work. . .

I came here to post this, but you beat me to it. I heartily agree, even if I'm not a massive fan of the car itself. I think it was, at its debut, nearly a quantum leap forward for budget supercar performance and technological achievement.

The tip on opening the door in class 6 is pretty handy, if it is dark just make sure to turn the dome light off before popping the door open. . .and open the door facing towards a wall/hedge/field, and not the one facing the rest of the parking lot. . .making those two mistakes at the same time leads to very awkward
