Something similar happened to me, but it was my bank that did it, not PayPal. I posted a comment about it not long ago.

@gizgeek: He probably has a long list of backups ready to go.

@Akendall3: "The Bank" (and that's a hint to the bank name for those in the know) claimed that I was depositing empty envelopes at the ATM, so they closed my account. They do that by putting the account so negative that it would cost a small fortune to be able to use it again.

Who needs a virus when your bank does this to you?

@techynottreky: I'm in the northeast and have Cox as my cable provider.

@gizmodocon: I won't buy a laptop unless it has a TrackPoint or similar! That means I'm usually working with an IBM/Lenovo or a business class system from another manufacturer (Dell at the moment).

@washington1: That was the first thing I thought of when I saw it as well.

@e-friend :): I think the main point that dukeofurl01 was trying to make is that your time frame seems to be off a bit.

@dukeofurl01: Almost... The first truly portable systems were introduced in 1981, and the first "clam-shell" design that we're all familiar with followed in '82.

@SeraphX2: Unfortunately, that fact seems to escape most people, especially Apple fanboys.

I'd appreciate it if the Giz editors would stop adding "iPad" to apps that are only meant for the iPhone and iPod Touch?

@KingHippo: If you don't want a response, don't write.

@propelledjeans: A company trying to promote their business which fixes said phone...

@Bodie1550: I've got the blue one (and a pale green one just like it) and the red one. The blue and pale green are my "cereal" bowls. Why pour two bowls of cereal when you can have twice as much in one bowl. :)

@medopal: Yes, it does, but let's just hope they're playing the version described in the first definition at Urban Dictionary. The version in the second definition sounds painful on so many levels! #doorbells

@medopal: I'm not offended at all, and I wasn't directing that specifically at you. Just surprised that it's called something else these days. And it's not just you...
