I picked out a Toshiba recently for a girlfriend of mine. Nothing fancy for specs, but it got the job done for what she needed. 15" (.4, .6, can't remember), Intel 2.2GHz, 2GB RAM, 160GB HD, DVD-RW, and all the usual accoutrements for $329. We bundled in an HP printer/scanner/fax and still paid less than $400 before…
