I still have mine (2000 Electron Pearl Blue), but it has 155,000 miles. I still enjoy driving it. It has two speeds—slow, or loud. It’s one of the last of the simple cars. It doesn’t even have ABS. I kept it stock until Detroit winters (and salt) ate my muffler. I’m tempted to make a full-time track car, but now I’m

I’m one of the dozen or so that want a manual transmission. My wife’s car was a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT wagon with a 5-speed manual. That was a fantastic car. We sold it when we moved to Germany. The Alltrack will be high on the list of possible replacements when we move back.

I used to take my 1989 Turbo to the track all the time. I’m just a s0-so rear-wheel driver, so I would get in trouble once in a while when the power overcame the tires (solved by getting R-compound tires for the track). Otherwise, very fast, very stable on the track.
