Trump isn’t going to stop acting like an anti-choice shitstick until he decides he doesn’t want to be president anymore. Because that is what will happen if he flip-flops on the issue of women’s humanity -- he will be branded as a traitor, a wolf in sheep’s clothing, a secret liberal.

Even if he doesn’t outright gut abortion rights, he’s going to kill Obamacare, which will make birth control unaffordable/unaccessible for many women.

Thus far, the party has rallied around him far more than he’s followed their lead. I don’t expect that to change.

That’s kind of the point, though. He really only cares about his popularity and the adulation that comes with it. So if maintaining it requires a shift in ideology, even on something like abortion, he’ll do it.

That would require him deciding on a set of principles and sticking to them. I think he’s nearly incapable of doing either.
